The Winterberg Epic - REMBE Pro Cycling™ Sauerland Challenge starts in the lively town of Winterberg. The route first takes you down a pleasant descent before the first challenging climbs begin. This tour is characterized by constant changes in altitude, which will test both your endurance and your riding technique.
The tour leads through picturesque Olsberg and on to Willingen (Upland), where the challenging climbs continue. The route not only offers sporting challenges, but also impressive views of the surrounding area. The highlight of the route is the climb up the Ettelsberg, where you experience the ultimate challenge at an altitude of over 700 m.
After the Ettelsberg, the route continues through idyllic villages and tranquil forests, which offer you a welcome respite before you once again encounter demanding climbs. The final stage takes you back to Winterberg, where you can conclude your tour with a triumphant finish.

Wearing a bicycle helmet should be a matter of course for all cyclists. Before setting off, check that your bike is in perfect condition. For demanding tours, we recommend packing plenty of drinks and snacks.
Safety guidelines
A rescue point system has been installed throughout the region (Soest district, Hochsauerlandkreis, Märkischer Kreis, Olpe district and Siegen-Wittgenstein district). Rescue points can be found on the information boards at the junctions of the Südwestfalen cycle network.
