After the start in Schmallenberg, the tour leads undulating through Haverland to Eslohe. From there, it's a relaxed roll along the SauerlandRadring. After a few kilometers you reach the eponym of this tour, the 689m long Fledermaustunnel. It's better to put on your windbreaker here, as the temperature drops to around 10 degrees. We continue on the cycle ring to Fretter. There you have to start sweating again, as the route climbs for a while. After Oedingen, however, you can recover on a winding descent. After Oedingen, however, the next cracker follows. It gets very steep up to Brenschede. You should have recovered by the time you reach Werpe. Although your legs are already pretty heavy here, you need to show your fighting spirit again. The climb up to the wind turbine may not be as long, but it has a lot to offer in terms of gradients. Once you reach the summit, you can enjoy a great view of the Lenne valley on the rapid descent. This is followed by one of the highlights of the tour, the enchanting Uentroptal valley, which accompanies us up to above Fleckenberg with almost no incline. We race into the village in free fall. Here we have to be careful: Watch out! Because at the junction with the main road, you have to turn sharp right into the Latrop valley, which we follow for a few kilometers. After a short detour, the starting point of Schmallenberg lies ahead of us again.
