This challenging tour stretches over 115 kilometers with an elevation gain of almost 2000 meters. The longest ascent is right at the start, leading up to Einsiedelei at a leisurely pace at first, then steeper later on. After a short visit to Biggesee, the route continues with a few ups and downs around Drolshagen past Listersee. Before a long descent to Plettenberg, you have to climb the steep ascent to Windhausen. This is followed by the most difficult climb to Sonneborn with over 200m. At the end of the descent behind Heggen, a final stitch to Dünschede awaits before the last kilometers of the tour are undulating.
At the end of the tour, there are several good places to stop for refreshments in Lennestadt-Altenhundem.
