The tour starts in Marsberg with a steep climb, which is immediately rewarded with a descent to the Aabachtalsperre dam. Up to Thülen, the tour is virtually climb-free. Before Bontkirchen, you have to pedal hard, as the route climbs 200 meters in altitude to Battenberg and then descends just as steeply to Bontkirchen. The next 200 meters in altitude are spread over a distance of 15 km. The route leads through the Diemelsee Nature Park, through the beautiful Itterbach Valley, past the Schalenburg Castle.

In Willingen, the route takes a Schwenke through the town to the train station and then along the L251 to Usseln, continuing along the K65. Shortly before Rattlar, you reach the highest point of the route at 668 m. This is followed by a flat section to Diemelsee. There are always beautiful views along the Diemelsee.

The last flat section takes you back to the starting point of the tour in Marsberg.
