After the first ascent over the Schören-/Istenberg, this tour first leads over Willingen and down another mountain to Diemelsee. From there, the route continues undulating via Korbach to the crisp climb to Küstelberg. After Winterberg, the tour leads to Siedlinghausen with a slight gradient. After a short, tough climb, the route is undulating but tends to descend back to Olsberg.

Wearing a bicycle helmet should be a matter of course for all cyclists. Before setting off, check that your bike is in perfect condition. For demanding tours, we recommend packing plenty of drinks and snacks.
A rescue point system has been installed throughout the region (Soest district, Hochsauerlandkreis, Märkischer Kreis, Olpe district and Siegen-Wittgenstein district). Rescue points can be found on the information boards at the junctions of the Südwestfalen cycle network.

Olsberg is on the Sauerland Express route (RE 17 Hagen-Warburg/Kassel) and is therefore easy to reach at hourly intervals. The Dortmund-Sauerland-Express (RE 57 Dortmund-Winterberg) also offers a regular direct connection to Bigge-Olsberg.
