Schmallenberg
From Schmallenberg in the heart of the Sauerland, you set off on a fantastic tour. A short climb to Wormbach is followed by an almost 20-kilometre-long, always gently sloping passage through small, tranquil villages. After Wenholthausen, the route climbs uphill again and via Grevenstein, the home of the Veltins brewery, and Meinkenbracht to Sundern. There is a short stretch of main road here, then a short climb to Sorpesee. Here you can roll along the shore without expending too much energy. Via Sundern-Hagen and a winding descent, the route leads to Rönkausen. Now the main ascent awaits: via Glinge and the reservoir up to Faulebutter and on to Röhrenspring. Fantastic little roads and great views make up for the meters in altitude. The route then alternates constantly between climbs and descents via Oedingen and Bracht back to Schmallenberg.
