The Eder loop leads eastwards to the Eder dam and, in addition to many short climbs, also has three real mountains. We cross the Eder in Herzhausen and cycle on via Goddelsheim to Medebach back in NRW. From here it is not far to Hallenberg in the Nuhnetal valley.

Wearing a bicycle helmet should be a matter of course for all cyclists. Before setting off, check that your bike is in perfect condition. For demanding tours, we recommend packing plenty of drinks and snacks.
A rescue point system has been installed throughout the region (Soest district, Hochsauerlandkreis, Märkischer Kreis, Olpe district and Siegen-Wittgenstein district). Rescue points can be found on the information boards at the junctions of the Südwestfalen cycle network.

From Hagen, for example, there are connections every hour, from Kassel every 2 hours. The journey from Dortmund to Winterberg and vice versa takes just 104 minutes. Six times per working day or twelve times on Saturday or Sunday. From Winterberg station, take the S 50 line to Hallenberg.
