Of course, racing cyclists don't have to complete a real triathlon of swimming, running and cycling in the Biggesee "triathlon". Rather, the predominantly easy route is based on the motto "see the water, ride your racing bike and let it run". After the start of the tour at the Olpe leisure pool, the only longer climbs on the route are to Welschen Ennest and via the Apollmicke hermitage. Later, the route is mostly flat along the Biggerandweg, which is ideal for cycling, with the Biggesee always in view. You roll back into the Olpe leisure pool relaxed - and if you still haven't had enough, you can go for another swim...

Wearing a bicycle helmet should be a matter of course for all cyclists. Before setting off, check that your bike is in perfect condition. For demanding tours, we recommend packing plenty of drinks and snacks.
A rescue point system has been installed throughout the region (Soest district, Hochsauerlandkreis, Märkischer Kreis, Olpe district and Siegen-Wittgenstein district). Rescue points can be found on the information boards at the junctions of the Südwestfalen cycle network.
The restaurants right by the Biggesee are perfect for a break.
