This medium-difficulty tour requires a good level of fitness, as it takes you from Winterberg towards the highest mountain in NRW, the Langenberg. Another highlight of the tour is the ride over the Hochheide near Niedersfeld with the magnificent panoramic view from the Clemensberg.

Winterberg
Starting from the Bremberg parking lot, we first head downhill to Winterberg. The easy route continues downhill through the Ruhrtal to Niedersfeld. From here, our route winds its way up towards Langenberg and finally on a difficult trail along the breathtaking Hochheide. Before we reach Küstelberg, we have to conquer the Hillekopf. In Küstelberg, there are several opportunities for a rest before we head uphill again, past the railroad hut at Bringsfeld, and back downhill to Elkeringhausen. After the Ehrenscheider Mühle mill in the Orketal valley, a very steep ascent leads us up to Winterberg.

Wearing a bicycle helmet should be a matter of course for all cyclists. Before setting off, check that your bike is in perfect condition. For demanding tours, we recommend packing plenty of drinks and snacks.
The Gravelbike tours of the Bike Arena Sauerland are checked twice a year.
In Winterberg, for example, it is worth visiting the Kappe adventure mountain and in Winterberg-Niedersfeld you can relax at the Hillebachsee lake.
