Racing bike - To the Kahler Asten

The first few kilometers of this long tour from Eslohe are very relaxed, as you follow the SauerlandRadring, and thus a former railroad line, as far as Fretter. The first highlight is not long in coming: the famous Fledermaustunnel, where numerous rare bloodsuckers hibernate during the winter months. After Fretter, it's time to climb for a few kilometers, because before the descent takes us to Oedingen, we have to conquer around 150 metres in altitude. The next climb also follows up to Bracht. There is time to relax through Haverland to Schmallenberg. Only in Winkhausen does the chain have to climb slowly but surely to the left again. We head for the Große Bildchen and then Altastenberg via the enchanting Sorpetal. Although the climb is long, it can be ridden very smoothly. After Altastenberg, the destination of the tour is almost reached: the Kahler Asten. Winterberg is a great place for a short break. From here it is downhill for a few kilometers to Siedlinghausen. After Elpe, the route becomes briefly steep until Heinrichsdorf. From Ramsbeck, known for its visitor mine, the Nierbach valley leads us to Meschede in the Ruhrtal. A few flat kilometers along the Hennesee await us here. We return to Eslohe on the cycle path via Remblinghausen and Herhagen.
